People are making serious cash right now

by doing very simple things online but

i'm sure, you already know that truth is.

It's very easy to make money now than it

was a decade ago, so i'm gonna share with

you very realistic ways that you can

start making money online based on my

own experiences these business ideas or

side hustles are super low cost and very

easy to start, so let's dive into it the

first one is youtube content creation

now hear me out i used to resent

youtubers.Big time i never even watched

youtube videos because as a career

person i was extremely busy with my day

job and still doing transcription on the

side to make some extra coins ,i used to

think i'm the most successful young

person on earth not because i was making

that much money, but because of the pride

that comes with being employed and

calling yourself a career person.So you

see youtube was a big joke to me or

rather seemed like a big joke to me and

content creation was simply attention

seeking fast forward to the present i

have been on youtube for almost two

years now, i started making money or

earning properly on youtube in november

2021 and in those nine months that is

november 20 21 to july 2022 i have made

a total of 27

308 dollars from youtube adsense alone

this is around 3 million kenya shillings

just think about that now let's compare

and contrast my last employment lasted

for a year and i was being paid very

well above average actually in fact i

think i was one of the most earning

graduates in kenya if you ask me i

really hope most is a correct english

phrase anyway in that one year i earned

a total of seven thousand five hundred

dollars which is about nine hundred

thousand kenya shillings now imagine me

with my seven thousand five hundred

dollars presenting someone who's making

over twenty seven thousand dollars quite

pathetic actually

it makes no sense does it now this is

not me saying that this is the amount of

money you'll be making on youtube but

what if it is even if it's just a

thousand dollars a month isn't that

better than struggling at a job you

don't even like and no i'm not telling

you to quit your day job for youtube i'm

telling you to give youtube a try in

fact

personally i was doing youtube and

transcription while still employed now i

get to make money doing what i love that

is helping people by sharing knowledge

and opportunities about something i'm

very passionate about which is

transcription now creating videos

doesn't have to be complicated and

costly i never really spent any money on

my youtube channel when i started i had

no microphone no camera no video editor

and i didn't spend any money learning a

so that i can start making videos about

it like learning how to transcribe so

that i can come here and tell you about

transcription like that never happened

transcription was something i was

already doing so it was easy to talk

about it and i knew a lot of people

didn't know about it so i decided to

create awareness now here's the funny

thing before creating my first video

video editing was a mystery to me like i

didn't know anything about it to sleep

magic but i had to edit the video

somehow so i went on youtube and looked

for editing tutorials and look at my

videos now very well edited i'm very

proud of myself i didn't pay for any

editing classes or get a trainer to

teach me how to edit i learned on

youtube for free i bought my first

microphone ever a few months ago so most

of my videos were created without a

microphone and not forgetting that i

used the same phone to record my videos

until i hit a hundred thousand

subscribers which was actually last

month that is when i decided to buy a

new phone so you can imagine i have been

creating videos with the same phone for

almost two years now and it was not a

high-end phone it was a huawei y9 that i

bought in 2019 so you see nothing is

stopping you from starting a youtube

channel and sharing your life or your

brilliance with the world now if you

decide to give it a try that is start a

youtube channel you have to treat it as

a business not a hobby you have to

sacrifice time to create videos

consistently create videos that add

value to people's lives and don't focus

on views and subscribers focus on making

your audience happy and that you will do

by giving them what they are looking for

you also have to commit to learning all

you can about youtube how it works the

algorithm best practices and all that

don't do youtube blindly learn learn

learn and implement what you learn every

video should be an improvement from the

last one and most importantly put in the

work and be patient it took me a year to

start a new on youtube so it will take

time maybe a few months a year a few

years either way keep creating and keep

improving your videos now please let me

you imagine that when i quit my job i

survived on transcription alone for like

eight months before my other streams of

income picked up so i myself taught

transcriber who learned the skill out of

necessity because i was struggling

financially and i needed cash for years

i worked for transcription companies

like rabbit kiwi world triple a

transcription transcribed me etc etc i

was making a few dollars a month

sometimes 350 dollars sometimes 200

sometimes even 70 dollars considering i

was a student so i was not working full

time but my life completely changed when

i started treating my transcription

hustle as a business rather than a job

where i needed to be employed remotely

by a transcription company obviously

transcription companies are the best

place to start but it gets better when

you do it as a business i got an

opportunity once to work on someone's

files directly without a middleman

because that's what transcription

companies are so they look for clients

get files and hire you to work on the

files now when the money comes in it has

to be split between you and the company

so i realized that you make so much

money when you work for a company or

individual directly so when i got fed up

with my day job and was planning to quit

i decided to source for more

transcription clients obviously i was

not going to quit my job without a solid

plan that's being stupid and by the way

my youtube channel did help because

sometimes people who need transcription

services reach out to me since i create

content about transcription this is me

telling you that if you need

transcription services just shoot me an

email however most of my direct clients

i got them through recommendations from

people i have worked with before or

people who know that i offer

transcription services and called

pitching mostly on linkedin so my income

tripled from making a few dollars a

month to earning over a thousand dollars

from a single transcription project

however the amount of money i earn from

transcription fluctuates because there

are months when there is so much to do

and there are times when there's barely

any work to do so if you worked online

you know how this goes and good

financial management by the way is

essential in this aspect because without

good financial management i will not be

able to stay afloat during those very

dry months okay this is what i'm trying

to say you can easily make money online

by selling a service like i do with

transcription getting clients is usually

the most difficult task but it's not

impossible i feel like people just fear

it before they even do it once you know

what you want to offer create a free

linkedin account optimize it that is

just add everything you should add your

experiences your skills and all that and

then start searching for potential

clients now if you're planning to offer

transcription as a service like me you

want to look for podcasts media houses

research companies that conduct

interviews research students churches

etc etc those are your potential clients

because these a probability

they have content video or audio content

that needs to be transcribed now if

transcription is not something you are

interested in there is still so much you

can do i have actually noticed that

these are rising demand for video

editors because companies and

individuals are now creating video

content left right and center there are

so many youtubers who don't know how to

edit videos there are also youtubers who

are looking to level up their content so

they are looking for video editors to

help them do that if you check my

community posts here on youtube you will

see that i was looking for experienced

video editors a few months ago so video

editing is one of the most profitable

online businesses right now and it's

something you can learn in less than a

month on youtube for free graphic

designers are also in high demand if you

can do product promotions design video

thumbnails logos video intros video

outros motion graphics etc you can sell

that as a service on fiverr upwork or

reach out to direct clients who you

think need these services personally i'm

looking for someone who can create a

very nice video intro for me don't be

afraid to reach out to potential clients

just craft a very nice email and make

sure to include your samples if you have

them just attach them if you have links

to those samples then attach the link be

nice to the person you're trying to work

for and just give them an offer they

cannot refuse feel free to even give

them like a one month bonus or 20

percent or for something like that just

make a very nice attractive offer and

send it obviously most people won't get

back to you but someone will get back to

you just have to keep doing it and do it

right now i would love to list all the

services that you can possibly offer but

don't limit yourself when it comes to

starting an online business or a side

hustle anything goes as long as you are

not stealing from anyone or doing

something illegal for scamming people
